Neurogastroenterology and Motility Citywide Rounds

This quarterly series will serve as an avenue for collaborative learning and discussions relating to the field of neurogastroenterology and motility. Neurogastroenterology and Motility Citywide Rounds is a unique non-CME educational activity that will allow healthcare providers to share experiences and lessons in management of difficult neuro-gastroenterology and motility patients and foster collaboration between healthcare institutions within the region. In addition to case presentations, each session will feature an esteemed guest faculty who will deliver a lecture as well as participate in the case presentations and discussion.

Target Audience
Gastroenterologists and Primary Care Clinicians caring for patients with disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBIs)

Objectives

  • Increase awareness of the epidemiology and impact of DGBIs
  • Increase understanding of novel pathophysiology mechanisms involved in DGBIs
  • Provide update on current guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of DGBIs
