This quarterly series will serve as an avenue for collaborative learning and discussions relating to the field of neurogastroenterology and motility. Neurogastroenterology and Motility Citywide Rounds is a unique non-CME educational activity that will allow healthcare providers to share experiences and lessons in management of difficult neuro-gastroenterology and motility patients and foster collaboration between healthcare institutions within the region. In addition to case presentations, each session will feature an esteemed guest faculty who will deliver a lecture as well as participate in the case presentations and discussion.
Target Audience
Gastroenterologists and Primary Care Clinicians caring for patients with disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBIs)
Objectives
- Increase awareness of the epidemiology and impact of DGBIs
- Increase understanding of novel pathophysiology mechanisms involved in DGBIs
- Provide update on current guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of DGBIs
